Sunset in Bali

A daily ritual in Bali is to enjoy a Bintang or three and watch the sunset. The beach along north to Jayakarta and South to Legian Beach Hotel is very crowded, if you want some peace head to out the front of the Monzarella Restaurant on the beach or Puri Raja Hotel where you will find Mon, Mumma Wayan , Poppa Ketut Anna Queen of Pain.  Speak to Mon and ask her for no hassle, tell her you read about her on the Bali Buddy. Beach Sellers are beautiful people with beautiful personalities just trying to make a living like all of us. Take the picture out of your head of rude, pushy, and hard sell and you will form some incredible friendships and learn a lot about the way of life in Indonesia. These people have a wealth of knowledge and have the time to spend with you. You will offend them by calling them Beach Hawkers; this is their full time jobs. The beach workers have there own section of the beach. There are 650 workers from Tuban to Seminyak, they have their own allocated area from the council (usually 3 resorts long). They pay a fee of 3000 rup per day to be on the beach and unlike us have to pay 500 rup to go to the Public Toilets. So be kind and have a heart and buy something or a lot from these beautiful people.
